Catcher in the rye.
Ok, ok, but I got your attention though, didn’t I.
The summer officially starts today … how long for we’re not sure but it’s nice to have to crank the A/C up in the car … although it was a bit nippy at 5am this morning when I got - up, I’ve been working in Bordeaux today.
Even at lunchtime it was a bit iffy, but we braved eating out on the terrace of a restaurant, called The James Watt, near the airport of Bordeaux - I still don’t know why it was called The James Watt - there were no clues either and I had Lumo and Pipperade with grilled Chorizo - maybe this what James Watt ate too … was he Basque or Spanish?
Anyway, back to the catcher in the rye .. it’s an insect that is called a gendarme - I must ask why … and this is probably oats or barley - so sorry for this bare-faced hoodwinking on this day of all days …
